HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Daura LGEA started with one primary school established by Native Authority in 1017. With 17 boys and 7 girls. It was named Elementary School Daura and later changed to Daura 1 primary school. In 1999, the school was renamed as Muhammadu Buhari Nursery and Primary School Daura. Currently Daura Local Government Education Authority has the Number of 45 Primary Schools that are spread across the local Government.

• Construction of block of two classrooms at Bayajidda Primary school.
• Renovation of 6 blocks of 14 classrooms, office and store at Madawaki Abubakar formerly Daura II Primary School.
• Construction of 1 block of two classrooms office and store at M. Musa Primary School.
• Construction of 1 block of two classrooms office and store at Shandabu Primary School. Located at Dunun Yamma).
• Construction of 1 block of two classrooms office and store at Magijiya Primary School.
• Payment of school land compensation at Magajiya Primary School.
• Construction of 1 block of two classrooms office and store at Magaji Sa’idu Primary School.
• Construction of 1 block of two classrooms office and store at Matawalle Amadu Primary School.

DAURA LGEA CONTRIBUTIONS:

• General Rehabilitation of L.G.E.A Headquarters in terms of painting works, furniture, curtains, stand-by generator.
• General over-hauling of 2 official cars i.e Assisted World Bank Hilux and 1 LGEA Bus.

CONTRIBUTION OF TRADITIONAL RULERS TO DAURA LGEA

• Construction of complete school by His Royal Highest the Emir of Daura Alh. Dr. Muhammadu Bashir with following structures:-

• 4 Block of 8 Classrooms
• 8 fit latrine toilets
• Fencing wall

 

• Donated land to the following schools:-
• Daberan Primary School by Village Head
• Zari Primary School by Magajin Garin Daura
• Dunu Primary School by Sarkin Yakin Daura
• Contribution of temporary site for Rimi Primary School by the Village Head.

 

COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTION

• Supplied pupils desk and bench by class mate of 83 Old Boys
• Land donation by community at Zari Primary School.
• Assisted projects under self help project i.e mixing sand, water and Labour to the following schools:
